Many people are amazed enough that the Leaning Tower of Pisa has stood the test of time since 1178. What’s even more remarkable is how it survived so many earthquakes over that time. A team of Italian and British engineers and geologists are saying it’s the tilt of the tower that makes it relatively impervious to quakes.
