A new white paper entitled “The Resilience Advantage: Economic Benefits of Earthquake Retrofits and Resilient Design” has been released in conjunction with the Great California Shakeout of 2020. This timely report prepared by the U.S. Resiliency Council and Optimum Seismic, Inc., explores research and case studies from varied sources to demonstrate that earthquake resistant buildings are a sound economic investment for business and government entities, particularly those that serve, employ or house large numbers of people.
