Optimum Seismic, Inc. will be participating in the California Building Officials’ Education Week training program in Newport Beach from August 26 through 29.

CALBO’s purpose is to promoting public health and safety in building construction through legislation, education, and building code development. The organization has more than 500 members. More than 90 of its members serve on various policy committees. CALBO, which has been operating for 57 years, conducts more than 115 training courses.

Topics to be addressed during the four days of education sessions will include a review of significant changes in California codes related to Building, Electrical, Energy, Mechanical, Plumbing and Residential work. In addition, the sessions will also address topics such as housing accessibility, safety assessments, plan review for residential additions; and fire sprinkler systems.

The event will be held at the Newport Beach Marriott, 900 Newport Center Drive, in Newport Beach.
