A reception for some 80 freshman elected state and local policy makers and business leaders from throughout Los Angeles County has been announced by the Los Angeles County Business Federation (BizFed).

Representatives of Optimum Seismic, Inc., which is the title sponsor for the event, will be among more than 200 entrepreneurs and business professionals from throughout the region attending the BizFed Freshman Policymakers Reception from 5 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, August 22 at The Edison, 108 West 2nd St., #101, in Los Angeles.

This unique reception is designed to assist this year’s 81 newly elected officials in our region to exchange ideas and make connections with job creators within Los Angeles County” says BizFed Founding CEO Tracy Hernandez. “Business leaders and policy makers need to listen and learn more from each other to strengthen our regional economy.”

“This Freshman Policymakers Reception is an important mixer and networking event for people responsible for making our region’s economy innovate and prosper,” says Optimum Seismic Chief Operating Officer Ali Sahabi, an expert in earthquake resiliency and sustainability. “Optimum Seismic is committed to making California cities safer, and we look forward to working with policymakers and business leaders to educate the public on the importance of earthquake safety.”
