City Considers Mandatory Seismic Retrofitting
Carpinteria, CA may become another more CA city to require mandatory seismic retrofitting for owners of soft story structures. Carpinteria’s City Council is proposing that the seismic retrofitting occur within 5 years and up to 14 buildings with 300 units would be effected.
