Today, that phrase has scientists singing a different tune: a warning about the growing seismic threat building along a string of 452 volcanoes, ocean trenches, hydrothermal vents and earthquake activity. Recent quakes along the ring in Oregon, Washington and the Pacific Northwest has prompted concerns that a disastrous tremor could be unleashed very soon. John Vidale, director of the Southern California Earthquake Center, said the Ring of Fire could be on the brink. Are you prepared?
