It’s hard to believe we are entering Year Two of the pandemic. COVID-19 is another form of natural disaster and has brought many of the same devastating results: lives lost and destroyed, social and economic imbalance, and a long road to recovery. We’re lucky our homes, buildings and bridges are still standing, but imagine if this disaster had been an earthquake instead. This pandemic has focused public thought on resilience. New Earthquake Fault Maps Alarm San Diego Real Estate Professionals
Many properties in San Diego are at greater earthquake risk from the Rose Canyon fault, which has been found to be more active and pervasive than originally thought. The California Geological Survey just released maps proposing stricter building controls in areas where the threat was escalated.
