Choices We Make Today Can Make Us Heroes In A More Resilient Future
Optimum Seismic was recently the major sponsor of Los Angeles County Business Federation’s (Bizfed) Freshman Policymakers Virtual Reception. I spoke to a group of more than 200 people made up of state, county and local elected officials as well as business leaders about the importance of preparing for natural disasters such as earthquakes.
I told them the only way we can be heroes of our future is by the choices we make in the present, and urged attendees to make decisions now that will make our communities more resilient in the future. See our Freshman Policymaker video made for this event.
For the past three years Optimum Seismic has worked with key business and government organizations such as BizFed, the U.S. Resiliency Council and others to educate business owners about earthquake preparedness, seismic retrofitting and more resilient building design.
On October 28 we will launch a series of 12 free webinars for businesses called The Resilience Advantage. These webinars will show examples of how resilience makes our businesses and economy stronger. Check the Optimum Seismic website for information.
Optimum Seismic has completed more than 3,500 projects, including earthquake retrofits and renovations on multi-family and commercial buildings.
