January 2018 Newsletter.

Newsweek just reported that 2018 could bring an increase in major earthquakes worldwide, a phenomenon triggered by small fluctuations in the Earth’s rotation. In fact, the Geological Society of America reports we have just entered a five-year period of enhanced seismic activity. I foresee 2018 as a year for heightened resiliency for our nation. Last year’s hurricanes, earthquakes and fires are prescient warnings of our need to prepare for such events. In fact, the White House has listed resiliency as a major part of the Administration’s National Security Strategy. Optimum Seismic is leading the way to making our cities safer with seismic retrofits. Please contact us today for a free consultation about your building.
