Famed seismologist Dr. Lucy Jones has called the COVID-19 pandemic one of “the great disasters of modern times.” (See her article below.) It’s heartening to see how communities are rallying to help others during this novel coronavirus outbreak. People are calling on legislators to do more to ensure that we are ready for the next crisis. My hope is that we learn from this experience and take action to be more resilient against ALL major threats to our way of life. Preparedness is always better than recovery.
