On Thursday Japan was rattled by 5.0-magnitude earthquake near the Fukuoka, Nagasaki, and Kumamoto areas. The two nuclear plants have been confirmed as operating regularly.

At 5 a.m. near San Diego, Venezuela felt a 5.5-magnitude earthquake. Another quake was felt 25 mins later, with a magnitude of 5.0. So far, no reports of injuries or damages from the earthquake.

The earthquake happened at 5:21 a.m. Alaskan time registered as a 4.9 and the USGS is saying it is an aftershock. Since this earthquake was much closer to the city of Anchorage it felt stronger.
