A new study, published in Science, found an earthquake strikes every 3 minutes. The information was gathered from 2008 and 2018. It found that Southern California experienced a 1.81 million temblors during that decade. Most of the earthquakes are weak and humans don’t feel them. The new updated catalog promises to help scientists better understand the basic physics behind earthquakes big and small.
